Monorom Waterfall or “Damnak Sdéch Waterfall”

The Monorom Waterfall is ideally located in Deum Sral Village, Monorom Commune, Sèn Monorom District; 5 km away from the provincial town. It can be accessed by road. Along both sides of the road, there are industrial plantations like rubber, coffee, and cashew.
There are more than 277 families living in the Monorom area of 108 ha, whose main occupations are farming.
This resort is managed by the Monorom Waterfall Managerial Committee vested by the provincial authority in collaboration with the provincial executive committee. Its main points of interest are a spectacular waterfall, dramatic mountainous forest, and fresh air.
The Monorom Waterfall is also commonly called “Damnak Sdéch Waterfall” as it is located 300-400 m away from the ruins of the Preah Norodom Sihanouk’s pavilion founded between 1960 and 1962. Nowadays, the official name of the waterfall is being discussed by the Tourism Department of Mondul Kiri Province and the board of provincial governors to designate it as “Monorom Waterfall” as it is located in Sèn Monorom District and close to the provincial town.
