NATURE:- it is a 1 meter high , a perennial herb.

LEAVES:-lower leaves with long petioles , upper small.

FLOWERS :-flowers are mostly white in colour , in small clusters at a top branches.

FRUITS:-fruits are small , smooth and without hair.

MEDIUCINAL USES OF VALERIANA OFFICINELIS (VALERIAN)

the drugs are useful which obtained through this plants rhizomes and roots.
The juice is more useful.

the drug properties are lost when drying.

The fresh juice is used as a narcotic in insomnia and in most of cardiac preparations.
